Happy Halloween!

It's FRIDAY!!! Whoo hoo!
Today could not have com faster for me!

So, it's official... I am pregnant, and with only ONE baby! Shwew! After having to go through 2 weeks plus of thinking we were pregnant with TWINS, seeing one was quite a site! I have to say, that somewhere...deep, deep inside of me, for a tiny millisecond thought "really, just one?" But that quickly faded! :)
I mean after all, I only have 2 hands.. one baby at one time is plenty to handle!
Tyler was rather disappointed, and now in her eyes, it can only be a girl. We'll see... have a while to go before we find that out!

We are all set to go trick-or-treating tonight!! Tyler is a Devil and Nathan is Frankenstein! Going to be chilly...

I've been really bad about getting pictures uploaded to share. I'll try and work on that this weekend.

I'm awaiting my 8x8 white D Reeves Acrylic album to come in the mail any day now. I've decided to join Ali in making a December Daily album this year. I just LOVED the one she completed last year and figured if I could get the album made PRIOR to December (which is key to completing the project) than I would give it a go!

Already thinking about what yummy food will be made up for Thanksgiving. I am SO into the holiday season this year... way ready to eat all the Turkey Day goodies and even MORE ready to start decorating for Christmas!!! :)

Hello!
Hoping everyone had a great weekend.

Saturday I enjoyed a kid-free day (WOW) and me and Amy went to Archivers for a scrapclass... I had to drag her by her hair to go... but she had fun, I KNOW she did! We did the Recipe for Gift-giving class. Of course, neither one of us stingy peoples are actually 'giving' ours away! LOL
Amy treated me to lunch at Twisted Fork... YUM-O! And then went to Old Navy for some shopping.

That evening, Tyler's friend Elizabeth cam over for a sleep over and we set out to get all the kids Halloween costumes. Grabbed a bite to eat at Fuddruckers and back home.

Sunday decided to go to BOO at the ZOO. Very nice weather, nice day. Wasn't nearly as crowded as I would have expected. (everybody was probably at the State Fair instead!) Some very sleepy zoo animals though! Didn't make for good pictures. And BOY am I tired... we walked the length of the zoo TWICE! The tram was so backed up after walking the zoo one way, (I have NO patience) so we decided to walk back instead of wait in line! And I'm feeling it today! Shwew!

HAPPY FALL!

What to be for Halloween?

I love Halloween. Normally by this time of year the half dozen totes have been emptied from the attic and my house is transformed with pumpkins, ghosts, bats, black cats, spiders.. witches.. you name it! Our Halloween stash is almost as big as our Xmas stash..

Not sure if it's the fact that since we hosted another Halloween party last year and it took weeks to decorate and then put it all away... or if it just snuck up on me. But there is not an ounce of Halloween anything in my house. I have some fall stuff here and there.. my porch has several pumpkins. Love pumpkins.

But because I'm just not in the Halloween mood this year.. I haven't given one single thought as to what the kids are going to or rather what they would LIKE to be this year! Hum...

Nathan's pretty agreeable. Tyler's nine and super picky. There are no characters that they seem to agree upon in order to "team" dress other than the increasingly loved Fraggle Rock. Nathan got the whole season 2 on DVD for his birthday. (thank you Amy) and it has been watched over and over and over.

So my thought process, let's face it.. times are tough and homemade costumes really are the best! Is to see what it take to convince my kids to be Fraggles.. or better yet, the Talking Madame Trash Heap. I'm thinking a garbage bag and raked up leaves.. kill 2 birds with 1 stone!

I'll certainly let ya know how it goes!

It's Friday!!!

Weather's nice... ate a homemade chicken salad sandwich for lunch.. get to leave work early (okay, I know... I do that EVERYDAY!)

Having fun driving my new minivan... NO MORE SQUEAKY BRAKES! Yay me! (it's the little things... really!)

Looking forward to the weekend, more cleaning..planning..organizing...etc. But it's good. Soccer game. Hopefully get family photos taken on Sunday. Good weekend.

I don't know Jana, never met her... but I love her charming personality and the fact that she has chosen to share her adorable family adventures with us 'blog readers'. Her writing skills are fantastic... honestly, just waiting for her book series everyone begs her to begin! :)

She recently had a son, Cameron who is now in the NICU. He's been very strong, as Jana continues to be so thoughtful to update all of us on. My thoughts and love go out to Jana and her family in this time of need. I simply wanted to share that.

Also,
this afternoon I will be attending a memorial service for Will Griffiths. Will and his wife Linda, along with their 2 sons, Mark and Matt have been a part of our family before I was born. Linda babysat for me and I spent lots of time with her family. Will gave me the cutest nickname of "Dizzy Lizzy". Although I was very young, I have such wonderful memories, lasting memories of Will and his family. I deeply saddened and my heart aches for Linda in this difficult time.
