All American Fun!

So last Friday night, Aaron and Amy invited us to a Durham Bulls Game... curtosey of Aaron's 'foot in the door' with Apex Cabinets. So of course... even though Jared was experiencing his quarterly 'pinched nerve in the neck' syndrome... we went b/c the kids are always asking to go! And as you can see... Nathan's the baseball enthusiast now...

Highlight of the evening....WOOL E. BULL !!!

Hanging out in the Private room, complete with a babeball hat souvenir for everyone, free meal, and free drinks... does it get any better... oh wait, it does; did I mention the parking pass and the awesome seats right behind the home plate!

Thank you Aaron and Amy for a fabulous evening!!! The kids had a blast... and Nathan has told me EVERY single day that he wants to "see the baseball again" and eat dinner with Wool E. Bull! Also....the kids were invited to join in singing the YMCA on top of the dug out with a group of children!! It was the cutest thing ever... they were both way excited! Amy got a great video... I'll see if I can post it later!

Oh yes... this is the 'new' hair color (which is since 'old' to most of you) and my new glasses. Just another thing falling apart.. please ignore the extra chin and muffin top found in most pictures. Sheila... looks like I need to go shoe shopping too! Time to get fit! (as I WILL NOT be wearing a swimsuit this year....ick!)

Catching up...

Completely MIA this past week... have been trying to catch up on stuff. Work, home, you name it. Have been dealing with a non-stop headache for the whole week...so it's not helping me get things done.

So let's see... where were we? Well, last weekend Tyler had a double-header soccer game. Amy came down to join for me the fun... and this is how our soccer games go:

Wrapping things up with Taxes. Ironically enough... we ended up filling an extension this year due to waiting on our accountant! We've had our taxes ready to go since January...just some odds and ends needing to be done with the LLC, since that ties into our personal taxes, and we were good to go. Well, so we thought. Honestly... because we know we will be getting money back, I'm a little perturbed at the fact that we had to wait on her. Hopefully they'll be done soon... as she unexpectedly showed up on Wednesday to wrap things up! It was already one thing that we had to have her post an envelope just to get our corp. taxes done in the nick of time!

So glad it's been warming up... I'm ready for sunny weather. Also ready for the pollen to go away, hence my week long sinus headache issues! Not to mention I'm tired of popping sudafed like candy just to be able to breath!

This weekend's agenda is rather laid back...soccer game on Sat. Tyler might have a friend come for a sleepover. Every weekend I say that I'm going to tackle Nathan's closet... and finally deal with the boxes and boxes of clothes, this weekend might be that weekend. You see how I worded my own sentence not to obligate myself to doing so in a form of a promise!! LOL

Might (I think that's my new favorite word...non-binding so to speak!) take a trip to the nursery to get more monkey grass to replace the ones that have since died when originally planted a couple of years ago!

Random, just for fun stuff...

Okay... so it's warming up, and then cooling down, and then warming up... we are in NC. But I have felt the need to get some new shoes. I need simple... slip on, very cute spring/summer shoes! So, I've been checking out lots of places. I love Piperlime... and they seem to have some good sales. But you can't beat the free shipping and free return policy. That rocks! I really like the new slip on sneakers... kind of Mary Jane style stuff. Keds has a lot of cute ones. I recently bought these and these (which are not Keds, but super cute). Yes, I know... peacocks... squirrels... but they're cute! I really wanted to get the owls, but they were out of my size!!

And I'm not a HUGE fan of Crocs... I mean, they are cute, Nathan lives in his... but they have come out with new ones that I think I have to have. I haven't tried them on yet... but my biggest problem is deciding on what color to get... I think they come in 6 different colors. Hummm... decisions, decisions!!!

I'm normally a flip flop girl in the summer, but I'm bored with flip flops... I need cuter shoes!

So... onto scrap crap! If you read my blog or know me at all... you know that I am in love with acrylic albums... specifically D Reeves albums. Well, they have come out with new colored acrylic albums as well as these cutie little ones called Style Files! So going to have get one of those!!! Best of all they come in PINK!!!

And again... HUGELY addicted to the American Crafts Thickers and Remarks stickers. They simply rock... I think b/c they go so great with the acrylic albums, perfect combo!

And because you may simply be bored out of your mind reading about my love for shoes and scrap crap... this is my 'just for fun'... just for you! Oh yes, you too could have this one of a kind "Ovi the Jacabob" who, BTW: (as the maker describes)

This lovely Jacabob enjoys sunny afternoons, boisterous romps in the meadow, pop rocks and cola accompanied by a healthy portion of peanut butter sammies, and squidgee squeezles.

Time Flies...

Again, trying to find the passing days. Where do they go??

Heather and I managed to each complete a page in about a 6 hour period...LOL! But hey, that's progress! And again, on Sunday I worked on a page and got that one finished up as well. YEAH for me!! All of these pages that might or might not get done I'm considering them for the SOY contest... so I can't post them, but will get some other stuff posted. I still have the Ski trip album and my newly finished Xmas album to take pics of and post.

And just last night I decided to start working on an everyday life album. I made the front and back covers of the album with a Hambly Studios transparency and the pages are all recycled envelopes from misc. places (junk mail, post office, vellum, etc.) All the pictures are B&W and I am so super excited to be making this little album. I will for sure post when it's completed!! The AMM Kit that Heather and I got includes the American Crafts Thickers (in shamrock green)... I now think that I am completely addicted to them. I have also used these (in white) and these (in black) to put the album title on the cover!!

Hoping the sun will come out by the week's end... having issues with a week plus of gray skies... not to mention everything is YELLOW! Not that I want more rain, but hoping we can have a little to wash away all this junk... as I am not fan of pollen.

Ready for the weekend...

HAPPY FABULOUS FRIDAY!!!

So ready for this week to be over. And super ready for my weekend. No soccer obligations...still yucky, rainy weather, but what better weather to be inside all day scrapping!!! YEAH! Heather's coming down to work on some scrap crap with me! So super excited. We got our AMM kit in, just have to plan out of photos and size them for printing (we'll work on that another time) But lots of fun stuff to work on! Will try and post what we do at the beginning of the week!

My poor hubby... still sick. At the doctors now. I'm thinking he definitely has the flu. He's been down and out all week... no signs of getting any better. So, hoping he'll be shot up with antibiotics and feeling better by the end of the weekend at least. We are all trying desperately hard not to get it. Nathan and I just got over a month solid of being sick together... continuously bouncing off one another! NO MORE GERMS!!!

Midweek boredom...

Okay, so yesterday Tyler and I literally spent an 8 hour day in her room... the end result was worth it, however...not making any bets on how long it will stay this way! The fact that I've threatened to take her right arm if it doesn't probably won't help... let's face it, she's EIGHT!

But, none the less, she was a trooper, and we didn't get into nearly as many arguements as I assumed we would. A giant pile of stuff to donate, 3 trash bags and lots of books to give to Nathan (his room is set for another day... not as messy, given he's three and his world of trains reside in our living room, not his bedroom. But... he currently has no furniture and his closet is exploding into his room!)

So, back at work today. Ummm...yeah. Boring. No motivation at all to be doing anything relatively productive. Nice huh? Hubby is at home sick. Here's how that goes... he gets sick MAYBE once every 2 years, literally. So when he does... watch out! The dramatization kicks in, the poor pathetic me kicks in, the I can't walk, talk or do anything on my own kicks in. Lets just say, I think I'd rather be taking care of crying triplets with poop filled diapers!!! Funny how us (women) can still manage to work, take care of kids, laundry, dishes, dinner, etc... all while being deathly ill... but give a guy a cough and runny nose and you might as well dig their grave! LOL But I'll let him have his moment! Why not! :)

Besides... he'll be chillin' with the chickens tonight while I'm off to a Stampin' Up! Party at Sheila's. Can't wait... something creative and fun.... good times. Again, hoping I can manage to sneak away without breaking the bank! I might just have to leave my pocket book at home!
