Rambles...

Updating on some (better quality photos.. since the Sony is now fixed and I don't have to use my little Cool pix for stuff like this) shots from Tyler's last meet. She's doing fabulous.. brought home 5 medals. Placed in all 4 events, and got an all-around.

Her gym even won 1st place at the meet, as a team. :)

So I know I've said it before.. but this weekend.. (I will even take that disgusting before picture to prove it) I am actually going to tackle the playroom!!! Why now you ask?

Well, first because I've come to realize if I don't do it now.. I will soon not be able to bend over or sit on the floor which would make it very difficult to accomplish cleaning out the room. Also.. must get the huge desk (used as Tyler's craft catch all, which does not get used) cleaned out and put up on Craig's list.

Second.. my most wonderful, absolutely precious (and I must say quite brave or maybe just plain crazy for volunteering) sis-in-law has agreed to come over and dive head first into this room that we very well may never make it out of!! Totally need the motivation of someone else.. even if she just sits there and holds the trash bag open.. I need the support to clean this room out!!

And of course, the most important reason... there is NO stopping this baby from coming, and although I've tried.. you can't stop time either. So it must be done! Plain and simple!

Not to mention it's going to be raining all day (another good excuse to sit in a trash/toy filled room and stare at stuff for hours wondering what to do with it!) And we're having a non-birthday birthday party for someone who's not really having a birthday! In fact it's not her birthday at all. :)

Only Tuesday?

Boy this week seems to be going slow already.. was thinking is should at least be Thursday by now! LOL

Never did take a pic of the playroom.. Saturday we were busy with Tyler's second competition, she had a friend come along and stay over afterwards. She placed in all 4 rounds and got an all-around! So 5 more medals to hang on her wall. She is so super excited and we are all VERY proud of her! She's been learning lots on her own too.. (b/c she treats our living room like a mini-gym center) She's mastered her back walk-over and can do 2 in a row really fast. This will ultimately help her finally peg her round-off back handspring.

She's decided to forgo soccer and concentrate more on gymnastics. Competition has really gotten her pumped up and eager to work harder at learning more.

Sunday was terribly lazy in a great, wonderful way! I was going to tackle the playroom.. had good intentions, but walking upstairs and opening up the door that is forever closed (so the growing mess doesn't spill down the stairs into the rest of the house!!) was enough to deter me from that adventure! Clearly sitting on the couch watching Jared and Tyler play Lego Indian Jones for hours on end was much more desirable! :)

Ready for the weekend...

Pretty much same ole routine... loving Friday's.... hating Monday's!

Not to much going on around here. Having serious issues with my sciatic nerve... driving me insane! The other day I was literally paralyzed when tried to walk from the living room to the kitchen. Not sleeping well, tossing and turning.. waking in odd hours for no reason, other than being uncomfortable I suppose. Of course with pregnancy comes the middle of the night trips to the restroom, just something else the baby wants to put pressure on!

Jared and I are still not agreeing on names. Good thing we have little over three months to work that out! LOL

Thinking this weekend might be the weekend that I actually try and tackle the playroom.. which will ultimately become the baby's room. (that is IF I can actually get it done in the next 3 months!) Might even take before and after pics to post. Don't worry.. I'll warn you ahead of time so that you don't go into shock witnessing the before photo! It's BAD!

Well, I finally got my GOOD camera fixed (from the cherry juice being spilt on it years ago!) and get to pick that up today! Very excited about that... will be able to get better pics of Tyler's competitions!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Our Little Champion!!

Tyler had her very first meet ever this past weekend!! She was very nervous.. but once we got there (7:30 in the morning... ugh! All the way in Fayetteville.. double ugh!!!) she slowly began to calm her nerves. There were four rounds... bars, beam, floor and vault.

She did GREAT! We are SO very proud of you Tyler!!!

She won 4 medals..

2nd place on BARS
3rd place on BEAM
4th place on FLOOR
and
4th place in ALL-AROUND!

Groundhog Day

Pretty much no different than the educated folks at the local news stations! Let's give it a go!

It's basically Winter and Spring in the same week around here. And yes.. those tiny little blobs on the forecast for Tues and Wed are actually snowflakes! Apparently they're calling for dandruff. Last week it was the talk of the season, and some predictions had central NC getting as much as 10 inches of snow.. now we have the possibility of seeing a random drifting flake if you are awake from 1:21AM to 3:58AM in the morning.
