lately...
now a mother of three, I feel the need to resort to a blog to maintain some sort of human contact with the 'outside' world.
We've all been sick for three weeks running... common cold turned flu, what was thought to be a bout with pneumonia turned out to be the flu/bronchitis... maybe... you know how doctors are. But more importantly hundreds of dollars later... and many trips to the doc/pharmacy (amoxicillin, z-packs, inhalers) and we THINK we're all better. Most important beyond that... Chelsea remained germ free and 100% healthy despite the declining health of those around her.
"Better"... I'm now at home for 3 weeks with 3 kids and no real funds for any outside entertainment. I'm in the midst of planning Nathan's 5 year old Super Hero party. (in which I realized after the fact of course... (and you'll LOVE this Shelia) that I misspelled Super Hero's (should have been Super Heroes) on his invitation!!) Ha... no spelling bee champ here!
That's just where I'm at lately... and surprisingly enough I'm completely OK with it. WHATEVER, right?
Nathan has been a bundle of negative thoughts lately. EVERYTHING is either BORING, UGLY or DISGUSTING! His three favorite words. And now that he's on a "economy vacation" from preschool... and Tyler is on her three week break... I'm desperately trying to find FUN, FREE and FRIENDLY activities to avoid sitting in front of the TV/XBOX for three weeks solid!
So we've managed to muster up every crafty "super hero" thing we could find for his party... and a couple of trips to the B&N story time... library... walking trails... etc. It's the end of day two and I'm clueless on filling up the remaining 19 days!!
Wish me luck.

Smitten...
It's hard to believe that just 2 months ago I looked like this:
Well, actually that would have been 3 months ago... yes, as hard as it is to believe, this picture was taken on 05-17... I gave birth on 06-17! Hard to imagine that I could have been any bigger, but I GOT BIGGER!
A week late,... and we fell in love all over again with chicken number 3!!
She's so much fun, so loved, so sweet, so stinky, so silly.
Wanted to share... I know it's been awhile. Not at work much, home pc is on the fritz. So I will as much as possible keep you up to date... hopefully sooner than later. She's 2 mths old already... growing fast, I'll post current pics ASAP!

OVERdue!
Well, tomorrow will be a week past due... one whole week!
So this is where you question, am I really overdue... or is it that my due date is wrong. It's all just a guess anyway. None the less, this is my first pregnancy where I've gone PAST my due date. So it's a little weird.
Today I am scheduled to have a half hour fetal heartbeat stress test and an ultrasound to check the amount of fluid around the baby. Just a standard precaution when you're 41 weeks prego!
It's going to be completely weird to have an ultrasound at this stage of pregnancy, it's like being able to see her right before she's born. With the crazy 4D ultrasound, you really get to SEE them. So I have mixed emotions about it... on one hand, I'm thinking how cool is that, I'll get to see her! But then, I sorta feel like it's taking away the element of surprise that comes with watching your child being born, and seeing them for the first time. Hum?
On Friday I was told that I was high risk to be induced b/c of the fact that my conditions (60% and 1 cent.) haven't changed in three weeks and she still hasn't 'engaged'... she's too high. So, I would more likely end up having to have a c-section than a normal labor. I'll pass... I much rather push this one out the old fashioned way, I'm not a fan of being cut open! :)
So after today I suppose I will know my fate. Whether or not things are okay, whether or not they will let me continue to be pregnant and for how long. I rather wait a few more weeks than be starring at an inducing date. Overall I have nothing to complain about, I'm still fairly comfortable and can function normally! So if she's not ready, I can wait!

DUE
Toady's' the day...
Zero days to go...
Everyone anticipated a May baby... everyone thought I was going to be early... well, less than 14 hours to go... and I will officially be late. Well, her rather than I.
If she were anything like me... she'd be born already, b/c I'm super impatient and can't stand waiting for things to happen!
Nathan's been talking to her... telling her to come out already! If she's anything like Tyler and Nathan, her ears don't work, so his wishes aren't even being heard! LOL
If she's anything like my husband, I'm bound to be pregnant for 2 more weeks... b/c he's infamously late! :)
